Here is your Apple joke of the day: Why did the apple stop in the middle of the road? Because she ran out of JUICE! (HAHAHAHA). So be sure to eat an apple every day and eat the peel as well to get all of the benefits!

Hey OP! In our efforts to participate in the healthy schools challenge, we will be participating in the Big Crunch Event. The crunch event is when every individual in the school gets to eat  an apple and we do it all at the same time. The purpose of this event is to promote healthy living by eating nutritious snacks that are not only good for our bodies, but delicious as well. The apples will come from locals farms and will take place here, at OP, on Friday October 27th just before first break. To gear up for our big crunch event, we will be posting facts and jokes about apples every morning on the announcements. Did you know that apples actually belong to the rose family and that there are more than 7000 varieties of apple grown around the world? That’s A LOT of apples!

There will be a Spirit Club meeting for all students in grades 6, 7 and 8 at second break today. Please bring your lunches. Ms. McKechnie, Mrs. Naccarato and Mme Hunt will meet you in the library. See you there!
