 Any athletic council members interested in joining Mlle Conway at the Raise the Bar conference is reminded to hand in their submission to go by 11:35 tomorrow.

 Cross Country permission forms are due tomorrow. All forms need to be in as the meet is next Tuesday. If you need a form please see Mrs. Arnold or Ms. Avsec. There is cross country practice today at first break.

Nobel Laureate for Physics conferred to Canadian Physicist, Donna Strickland for her work as a ‘Laser jock’.  Of note is that she was hooked on the idea of lasers since her elementary school education in Guelph, ON where she heard in Grade One about lasers and never lost her love and interest in this topic.  Dr Strickland  is the third woman in the world to win it after Marie Curie and Maria Goeppert-Mayer.  Dr Strickland was a pupil of all the three elementary, middle and high-schools of one of the teachers at OPP.  She now teaches at University of Waterloo!  GO, Women in STEM!

 Flag practice will happen Thursday, first break.  People in Cross Country are able to attend this practice.  See you then.

 October is International Walk to School Month, and today is “I Walk Day”. At OPP we will celebrate Walking and Wheeling throughout the month of October and Green Panthers will be outside in the morning to celebrate your active choice-walking or wheeling to school next week.  Remember to bring your yoga mat tomorrow for YOGA in the gym during first half of 2nd NB.

 Tonight is our Open House and BBQ.  There will be many yummy things to eat from Troy’s Diner (hamburgers, chicken, hot dogs, fries, poutine) and an Ice Cream Truck!  The food will begin at 5:00 p.m. Classes will be opened from 6 - 7:30.  See you there!
