posted 7 Nov 2018, 06:28 by Sherri Livingstone

Mr. Vize would like to meet the arts council and Tech crew today at 1st break. We have a lot to discuss and plan. Please arrive quickly and bring your lunch.

There will be a primary choir practise today, second break, in Mr. Vize’s music room.

A reminder to all classes to pick up their healthy snack bins from the front foyer.

For all grade 6-8 students who love to read: come to the library at first break today to find out about Senior Battle of the Books!

Read & Relax for grade 1-5 students will take place at second break today.

Congratulations to the senior boys’ volleyball team who secured a 3rd place finish in our division with a 3 set win over Eastview last night. The boys will play in the quarter finals on Tuesday here at Orchard Park.

Grade 6, 7, and 8’s in the Blooper Reel Club - meet today at 2nd break in Mr. Dinner’s Rm.

Guess what OPP?  Starting from today, each month the Green Panthers will be giving out a GOLD recycling bin to one class upstairs and one class downstairs, to keep for the month.  To win the GOLD recycling bin, you have to keep your blue bin uncontaminated for one month!  Think before you throw it out OPP!

Look at green bin and blue box posters before throwing items out. Also remember that we are continuing with boomerang lunches so garbage materials should be taken home.

Congratulations to the senior girls volleyball team on their win against Eastview last night. The girls rallied together and took all 3 sets. Players of the game were: Jordyn, Layla and Ashley. The girls ended the regular season with a 7-0 record which means they are 1st overall in the division. They will receive a bye in the first round of playoffs. Which means they  will play semi-finals  on Thursday Nov 15th. Way to go girls!!!

Writing Club will meet in Room 214 at second nutrition break (1:15). Free writing time Thursday at first nutrition break (10:55)  in Room 214.

Mindfullness prompt: Think of your favourite place outside. Is it nearby? What plants are around it? What do you love about it? How do you feel when you are there? How does it make you feel to think about it now?

Attention all students: the wellness committee wants to encourage YOU to come to the relaxation sessions on Friday during first break with Mrs. Sharma. Anyone is welcome and everyone who attends benefits. Please join us in the gym!
