ORCHARD PARK - Monday April 23, 2018

Monday April 23  Announcements -

Yesterday was Earth Day OPP and here is an important message from Earthday.ca  Consume Less -Plastic pollution and its threat to nature and human health is a pressing concern. Reducing consumption- what we buy and use- is a moral responsibility. What it means? Buy less, buy only what you need. Reduce the use of plastic. It is everywhere, from grocery bags to every item of your daily use is packaged in plastic. Think and be mindful… Do I really need this? Can I buy a larger pack rather than buying smaller packaging again and again? Can I manage without this? Buying things and acquiring wealth does not make us happy. Rather, connecting to others and nature is the key to happiness.

Here is a quote for Earth Day-    Earth and sky, woods and fields, lakes and rivers, the mountain and the sea, are excellent schoolmasters, and teach some of us more than we can ever learn from books. -John Lubbock
