ORCHARD PARK -- Friday March 9, 2018

posted 9 Mar 2018, 06:30 by Sherri Livingstone

A HUGE THANK YOU to all students and teachers for supporting our goal of raising money towards the Heart and Stroke foundation in the Jump Rope for Heart event. As of this morning, we have raised $3,385.00! That is 67% towards our school goal and that doesn’t include any cash donations!! That is amazing!! Today we will celebrate all our hard work by jumping, skipping and having tons of fun together in the gym. Have a blast everyone! After March break we will let you know the final amount of money raised and students will be receiving their prizes. Stay tuned for those updates.

A reminder to Wellness Ambassadors to come to the gym during second break and period 3 if you are are here.

Great day on the slopes yesterday OPP!!! There were a few items left behind. If you lost a hat or gloves or a water bottle please come down to the office to claim them.

Kayleigh Wong of 5/6 FI and Natalie Hall of 5-1 FI represented Orchard Park at the French Speaking Competition.  They competed against the top French students from schools from all across the board.  Kayleigh and Natalie kept their cool as they watched their competitors say their speeches and they both did an amazing speech in front of a jam-packed house of judges, parents, teachers and students.  Way to go Natalie and Kayleigh! You have made us very proud!

Thank you to everyone who submitted their yearbook cover art!!! After much deliberation..the winner of the Yearbook Cover Art contest for the 2017-2018 yearbook is Sofia Tomko. Special mention goes out to Abby Novo and Angela Ye!! The artwork this year was pretty incredible!! Stay tuned for details in April on how you can order your copy of Orchard Park’s 2017-2018 yearbook!

Orchard Park remember to always be kind to yourself and others!

Have a Fantastic Friday
